On the 16th of June, the Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Health Ministry confirmed 264 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
With the rise in cases, the total number of positive cases in the State reached to 6,720.
With the 264 new positive cases, Andhra Pradesh also reported 2 new casualties due to the infection.
According to the media bulletin issued by the State Command Control Room on the 16th of June, a total of 15, 911 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the State witnessed 128 recoveries from the COVID-19 infection in the last 24 hours. The total number of discharged in the state now stands at 3,513.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P., is scheduled to take part in the meeting with the Prime Minister of India on the 17th of January.
The meeting is scheduled to discuss the ongoing situation in different states due to rye Novel Coronavirus.
The deadly COVID-19 virus infected as many as 3.44 lakh people in India and claimed the lives of 9,000 plus people.
