Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) despite taking helpful measures for the Novel Coronavirus pandemic, reported 62 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus on the 24th of April.
According to sources, currently the A.P., Medical department is conducting COVID-19 tests with an average of 1,018 tests per million people.
The Health Department of Andhra Pradesh released data, according to which, Andhra Pradesh conducted a total of 54,341 tests till date. Out of the total number of samples tested, 955 were said to be positive for the Coronavirus infection.
Meanwhile, Viajayasai Reddy, a Member of Parliament (MP) of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) in a tweet said, the World Health Organisation (WHO) is enquiring about the steps taken by the Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government.
Mr. Reddy, “State-wide efficiency and the initiative to make bold decisions will put people out of danger in times of crisis. Covid control directs AP directionality with minimal casualties. Every state is a mess to us. The Centre has already applauded. WHO is also looking.”

Andhra Pradesh has also conducted three comprehensive family surveys and has identified as many as 32,792 members with symptoms of COVID-19.
The State has 5 COVID-19 designated hospitals , with 78 district level hospitals, 1,41,014 N-95 masks and 2,71,072 PPE kits. With these updates the State is well equipped to tackle the situation.
Till the 24th of April, the State had a total of 955 cases of COVID-19 and 29 deaths.
