Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) despite taking helpful measures for the Novel Coronavirus pandemic, reported 62 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus on the 2nd of May.
The Health Department of Andhra Pradesh released data, according to which, the State conducted a total of 1,08,403 sample tests till date. Out of the total number of samples tested, 1,525 cases were said to be positive for the Coronavirus infection.
The numbers are said to be increasing with a rapid speed despite strict implementation of the lockdown guidelines. However, the reason for such a rise is said to be the rapid tests, three comprehensive family surveys and other measures to identify COVID-19 cases.
The State has 5 COVID-19 designated hospitals , with 78 district level hospitals and is claim to be equipped with all the facilities to tackle the situation.
Till the 2nd of May, the State reported a total of 1,525 cases of COVID-19 and 33 deaths.
