The Andhra Pradesh Seeds Development Corporation (APSDC) has bagged the prestigious Governance Award for the second time. On the 28th of February, Wednesday, the APSDC won the award under the Public Sector Units (PSUs) Category in 2023 and for supplying quality seeds to farmers through the Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) for the last three and half years.
Governance Now, an international agency, has been presenting these awards for the last nine years to Government organisations and PSUs for rendering good work in various fields.
The Vice Chairman and Managing Director of APSDC G. Sekhar Babu and Chairperson P. Sushmita received the award from Justice (Rtd.) Deepak Mishra, the former Chief Justice of India in New Delhi. Agriculture Minister K. Govardhan Reddy, Principal Secretary (Agriculture) Gopalakrishna Dwivedi and Sekhar Babu met with Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and showed the award. The meeting was held at the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Camp Office in Tadepalli, Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed happiness over the achievement of the APSDC and praised the officials for their good work.
