Counting of votes for the recently held Badvel Assembly by election started at 8:00 A.M., today, the 2nd of November.
Counting of votes started at 8:00 A.M., and would be held under the supervision of the State Election Commission officers in Badvel constituency.
The SEC made all the arrangements for the counting of votes, which would be held in several rounds. In Badvel constituency, a total of 68.12 % voters turnout was recorded. A total of 2,16,139 voters were eligible to cast their votes and exercised their franchise.
A total of 15 candidates are in the fray to be the next Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Badvel Assembly constituency. The major parties in the fray are: the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
Dr. Sudha is the MLA candidate of the YSRCP for the Badvel Assembly constituency. Mr. Punthala Suresh is the BJP candidate for the Assembly by election. This time, the tough fight for the seat is between the YSRCP and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
The Badvel Assembly constituency MLA seat fell vacant after the demise of Dr. Venkata Subbaiah, the former MLA of the constituency.
The counting of votes is underway.
