Delhi: In a major political development in the state Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Jana Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had decided to form an alliance and contest 2024 elections together. BJP national president JP Nadda confirmed the alliance after conducting a row of talks with TDP chief N Chandra Babu Naidu and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan.
J P Nadda confirmed the news in ‘X’ and posted, “I wholeheartedly welcome the decision of Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan to join the NDA family. Under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Hon. PM Narendra Modi ji, BJP, TDP, and JSP are committed to the progress of the country and the upliftment of the state and people of Andhra Pradesh.”
Later BJP in its official communication posted a joint press statement confirming the alliance. BJP said that it has a very old friendship with Telugu Desam and has been working together since 1996. It hoped that the alliance would be a super success in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
