Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy laid foundation for the Secunderabad- Shamirpet elevated corridor here on Thursday. Revanth said that apathy of earlier governments caused so many legal hurdles in road expansion at Secunderabad cantonment area.
Revanth said that the earlier government ignored coordination of talks with the defense authorities which delayed the process of road widening. He added that the new corridor is very beneficial for the people to reach the destination at the earliest.
Revanth Reddy said that he tried his best as Malkajgiri MP to coordinate with the defense ministry and ease up the process for the expansion of cantonment roads.
Chief minister added that he met union defense minister Rajnath Singh and submitted a representation for the clearance and he readily accepted the proposals of the state government. Reddy added that he wishes to maintain a healthy relationship with the center for the development of Telangana state.
