Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to visit New Delhi on Wednesday evening, where he will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Delhi Chief Minister on Thursday.

During his visit, Naidu is expected to meet key Union Ministers, including Home Minister Amit Shah, Water Resources Minister CR Patil, and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, to discuss funding for major projects and pressing state issues.

A crucial agenda for Naidu is the Polavaram irrigation project, where he will seek Central assistance for constructing left and right canals with a capacity of 17,500 cusecs. In his meeting with CR Patil, he is expected to push for the immediate release of pending funds for the project.

Another major issue on Naidu’s agenda is the crisis faced by chilli farmers. Having already written to the Centre multiple times regarding the falling market prices, Naidu will now make a direct appeal to Shivraj Singh Chouhan for financial aid and policy intervention.

With a packed schedule of high-profile meetings, Naidu is expected to return to Amaravati by Thursday night.
