CM Chandrababu Announces 9 Lakh Houses For AP

CM N Chandrababu Naidu has announced plans to provide 9 lakh houses to poor families across Andhra Pradesh. He said the state aims to achieve 100 per cent housing coverage by 2029.

CM Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid the foundation stone for 3 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) 2.0 at Burripalem in Guntur district.

CM Chandrababu Naidu said the Centre had first approved 75,000 houses for Andhra Pradesh. After a special request, the Centre increased the approval to 3 lakh houses.

He said another 3 lakh houses would be approved after the current batch is completed. A further 3 lakh houses are planned next year, taking the total to 9 lakh.

The government will also test 3D concrete printing for houses at Burripalem. If successful, 5,000 houses will later be built using this technology.
