Kadapa: Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy slammed the coalition government for its failure to fulfill election promises, branding it as deceptive and impractical. Addressing party district leaders during his Pulivendula tour, Jagan criticized the government for reneging on its commitments, calling it a betrayal of public trust.
He pointed out that the coalition government, under the guise of “Super Six and Super Seven” promises, misled voters with unrealistic assurances, only to abandon them later. “Chandrababu Naidu cannot face the public, as none of his election promises have been fulfilled. Unlike them, we delivered on all our commitments and even went beyond the manifesto,” Jagan remarked.
He urged party cadres to remain united, emphasizing the welfare achievements of the YSRCP during its tenure. Predicting early elections in 2027 due to the potential implementation of the One Nation, One Election (ONOE) policy, he expressed confidence in the party’s return to power, citing the public’s disillusionment with the coalition government.
Jagan announced protests against the hike in power tariffs on December 27 and the failure of fee reimbursement on January 3. Leaders including MP Avinash Reddy, Amjad Basha, and Kadapa Mayor Suresh Babu attended the meeting.
