The Andhra Pradesh Government, on the 10th of April, identified 133 containment cluster areas in all the 11 districts for the spread of  the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is working on the precautionary measures by increasing strict restrictions, complete lockdown and others to curb COVID-19 infection.

In regard to this, the State Government announced 133 red zoned areas in all the 11 districts.  Most of the alerted red zones were identified in Nellore district, Kurnool, Krishna district, Guntur and Prakasam.

Arja Srikanth, the Nodal Officer of Andhra Pradesh for COVID-19, said, “Creating awareness among people on public health, maintaining physical distance, testing every suspect cases, Keeping the contacts in isolation to prevent community transmission are some of the key steps we are taking in the containment cluster.”  He further added, “Except for emergency medical and government services, movement of people will be totally restricted in these clusters.”

The State Government also imposed 3 km radius distance in these areas, 5 km radius in buffer zone and 7 km in rural areas.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh reported a total of 381 cases of COVID-19 infection with 6 deceased cases till the 11th of April.
