Delhi Health Minister's Condition Worsened, Shifted To Another Covid-19 Hospital

On the 19th of June, Satyendar Jain, the Health Minister of Delhi, was shifted to another COVID-19 designated hospital.

Recently, Satyendar Jain tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus and was undergoing treatment. 

Initially he was shifted to the State run Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital (RGSSH.) 

However, on the 18th of June, Mr. Jain’s condition worsened, following which he was shifted to another hospital.

Mr. Jain confirmed his COVID-19 test result through his official Twitter handle on the 17th of June. 

Besides Satyendar Jain, Akshay Marathe, an advisor to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Abhinandita Mathur, an advisor to Deputy

Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also tested positive for the deadly infection on the 16th of June. 

Meanwhile, Delhi is the 4th worst hit COVID-19 City in India.  Till the 19th of June, Delhi reported a total of 49,979 cases of the Novel Coronavirus. Out of the total cases, 26,669 are active cases and 21, 341 cured/discharged and 1,969 deceased.
