Tirumala: In celebration of Deepavali, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will conduct the special Deepavali Asthanam ritual on October 31 at the Tirumala Srivari Temple. The sacred event will take place in the Ghanta Mandapam, inside the Bangaru Vakili, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.
During the Asthanam, Sri Malayappa Swamy, accompanied by Sridevi and Bhudevi, will be honored with prayers atop the Sarvabhoopala Vahanam, facing Garudalwar. On a separate pedestal to the left, Sri Vishvaksena, the commander in chief, will be enshrined facing south. The priests will perform special pujas, offer harati, and distribute prasadams to conclude the morning Asthanam.
Later in the evening, at 5:00 pm, Sri Malayappa Swamy, along with Sridevi and Bhudevi, will participate in the Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva, parading through the four mada streets to bless the assembled devotees.
Due to the Deepavali Asthanam, TTD has announced the cancellation of the Tiruppavada, Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, and Arjitha Brahmotsavam services scheduled for October 31.
