Hyderabad: State witnessed a significant meeting between Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and prominent film industry personalities on Tuesday at the Police Command Control Center in Banjara Hills. Around 50 representatives from Tollywood, led by Film Association Chairman Dil Raju, attended the meeting.

Notable attendees included Raghavendra Rao, Allu Aravind, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Trivikram Srinivas, Koratala Siva, Harish Shankar, Boyapati Srinu, and others. Government representatives like Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy, and DGP Jitender also participated.

The meeting held significance in the wake of the recent stampede incident at Sandhya Theater and the arrest of actor Allu Arjun. CM Reddy presented a video of the stampede to address safety concerns and emphasized proactive measures.

The discussions reportedly centered on the development of the Telangana film industry, addressing challenges such as benefit show cancellations, increasing ticket prices, and theater allocations for small and medium-scale films. Film representatives also raised issues regarding incentives for culturally sensitive films and measures to combat drugs.

CM Reddy stressed the need for awareness campaigns and short films against drug abuse, giving detailed instructions to the attendees. This collaborative dialogue is expected to pave the way for significant reforms in the film industry.
