In Andhra Pradesh, a heinous crime of rape of a minor was reported on the 30th of August, Tuesday.
According to sources, a former Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) member Yaragadda Jeevan Rao, allegedly raped an eight year old girl in an Anganwadi center.
The incident took place in Ambedkar Konaseema district and came to light recently. Notably, Mr. Jeevan Rao’s wife is working as a teacher at the Anganwadi center, where her husband Mr. Y. Jeevan Rao raped the minor.
As of now, a case has been registered and an investigation is underway. This is a developing story, more details into the matter are awaited.
