Amaravati: A heated exchange took place in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council during the debate on the motion of thanks for the Governor’s speech. Tensions flared between alliance members and YSRCP leaders, leading to confusion in the House.
Minister Nara Lokesh emphasized that agreements for investments have been made, stating that new projects would create more employment opportunities in the state. However, Leader of the Opposition in the Council, Botsa Satyanarayana, challenged these claims, questioning how the government had already stated that 4 lakh jobs had been provided. He insisted that any errors in the speech should be corrected.
The situation escalated when Council Chairman Moshen Raju requested a copy of the Governor’s speech. Minister Anita took the document away, leading to further disagreements. In response, Lokesh clarified that the government did not claim that jobs would come only after investment.
The heated discussion highlighted the opposition’s scrutiny of the government’s job creation claims, setting the stage for further political debates in the Andhra Pradesh Legislature.
