Highlights Of AP Cabinet Meeting: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Takes Crucial Decision

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 19th of August, conducted a State Cabinet meeting. 

The meeting was held at the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat in Velagapudi, A.P.

During the meeting, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy discussed welfare schemes, development in the State and the Capital issue.

Besides these, the formation of new BC Corporations, YSR Insurance, the launch of the YSR Complete Nutrition Scheme and the approval of a new industrial policy were also discussed.

The meeting also discussed and approved the issue of distribution of quality rice in the State from December.

Other schemes approved during today’s Cabinet meeting are the YSR Asara Scheme.

YSR Asara Scheme is one of major welfare schemes under the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Navaratnalu schemes.

This scheme would benefit 27,000 crore Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas, (DWCRA) providing financial assistance.

In addition, the State Cabinet also approved YSR Sampurna Poshana Scheme and finalised the launch date to be on the 1st of September.

Other schemes like YSR Vidya Kanuka Scheme and YSR Arogya Asara Scheme would be launched on the 5th of September and 11th of September respectively.

Apart from this, the Cabinet also approved for the recruitment of 51 Divisional Development Officer posts in the Panchayati Raj Department.

State ministers, Director General of Police (DGP) of Andhra Pradeshand officials of several departments attended the Cabinet meeting.
