On the 22nd of September, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) held a video conference reviewing the Spandana programmes.
The video conference was in regard to the ongoing projects, welfare schemes, secretariat, agriculture sector and other issues of the State. District collectors, sarpanches, ward/village secretariats and other concerned officials attended the virtual conference, held from the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) camp office.
According to sources, during the meeting, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy discussed a wide range of issues including housing, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Government Scheme (MGNREGS) works, YSR Urban Clinics, inspections in Village/Ward Secretariats, COVID, Seasonal diseases, Disha App, Agriculture and the schemes to be implemented in October.
Highlights of the video conference meeting:
The A.P., CM directed the officials to focus on pending cases in courts related to housing sites distribution.
Information about the reduced number of Novel Coronavirus. Mr. Jagan said the COVID-19 cases were reduced from 834 to 758 since the last Spandana conference.
Highlighted about 76 solved criminal cases benefitting over 8,000 people and officials to focus on 395 cases rof 758 pending cases in villages and districts with the district collectors.
Discussed about mapping which has been done layout and plot wise with details of beneficiaries.
The CM directed the district collectors to complete the pending 12.6 % mapping works.
Asked to complete verification of pending applications for house sites and to begin house allotment to 45,600 beneficiaries in existing layouts and 10,851 in government layouts by December.
Asked to acquire more land to give house sites to 1,48,398 people. He said the state government has named a one time settlement scheme as the Jagananna Sampoorna Gruha Hakku scheme and the distribution of registered pattas should start in December.
Asked to ground 10.31 lakh houses under housing for the poor scheme and directed the officials to construct below basement level houses to above basement level by the 25th of October.
The State CM asked to focus on the clean water facilities in housing layouts.
Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy asked district collectors to review the construction of houses once a week.
Asked to construct warehouses under the MGNREGA works scheme near big layouts for site offices and storing construction materials.
He instructed the officials to create awareness among people on the Jagananna Sampoorna Gruha Hakku scheme, which will benefit 67 lakh people.
