The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Chairman Y.V. Subbareddy, on the 28th of August, conducted the TTD Governing Council meeting. 

The meeting was held at the Tirumala Annamayya Bhavan, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

During the meeting, the TTD board took several key decisions. After the governing council meeting, Y.V. Subbareddy addressed a press conference and briefed about the decisions taken in today’s meeting.

Key decisions taken during the governing council meeting:

The decision to hold the Sri Venkatesh Brahmotsavam.

Brahmotsavam would begin from the 19th of September to the 28th of September

Due to the lunar month, there would be two Brahmotsavas.

Governing body decides to bear medical expenses of TTD employees affected by the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

It was revealed that a letter has been written to the State Government to apply Arogyasri to TTD employees.

An allocation of Rs.5.5 crore for construction of additional rooms at Bird Hospital in Tirupati.

Approval for construction of TTD Kalyanamandapam in Singarayakonda temple premises.

The contract of 53 workers working in the electrical department at TTD has been extended for another two years.

A high priority for Go care, a decision soon on the issue of giving one cow to each temple.

TTD decided to change the policies on gold jewellery and cash deposits in banks.

Approval for construction of 214-room dormitory at SV Arts‌ College.

TTD board member Sudha Narayanamurthy has donated Rs. 1 crore to move waste from TTD.
