On the night of the 28th of August, the Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin and updated about the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 status.
According to the bulletin, in the past 24 hours, Telangana reported 2,751 new COVID-19 infections and 8 fatalities.
Of the total 2,751 new cases, 30 are from Adilabad, 72 from Bhadradri, 432 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Commission (GHMC.)

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries in the last 24 hours are 1,675, pushing the overall tally to 89,350.
With these updates, Telangana has a total of 1,20,166 positive cases, of which 30,008 are active cases, 89,350 are recovered/discharged and 808 deceased.
Out of the 30,008 active COVID-19 positive patients, as many as 23,049 patients are under home isolation across the State while 6,959 positive cases are in institutional care.
The Telangana Government for the third consecutive day conducted more than 50,000 COVID-19 tests.
In the past 24 hours, the Telangana medical department conducted a total of 62,300 COVID-19 tests. Of the total, reports of another 1,010 samples are awaited. Till date, Telangana conducted 12,66,643 tests for the Novel Coronavirus.
In addition, the recovery rate fell to 74.30 from the previous 75.20 %. The countrywide recovery rate is at 76.49%.
