Occurred on the 23rd of June, Friday, Sana, a resident of Hyderabad’s Nacharam region, ended her life after she was unable to bear the mental torture by her husband Hemant Patel and in laws. During the live video, Sana narrated her tragic story and the fact that her husband was having an extra-marital affair and was torturing her mentally. After telling her story, she hanged herself to a ceiling fan in a live streaming video.
Meanwhile, after Sana’s death, her parents told reporters that she had a love marriage four years ago and has a three year old son. The victim’s family said Hemant Patel hails from Rajasthan and works as a music teacher. To marry Sana, Hemanth even converted into a Muslim and became Shamsher. Initially, they had a smooth marriage, but then he had an extra marital affair with one Sofi Khan, who was learning music from him.
Sana’s parents said she caught Hemant and Sofi red handed, following which Hemant and Sofi allegedly tortured Sana mentally, which forced Sana to take the drastic step.
Furthermore, the Hyderabad Police have registered a case and have recovered the victim’s mobile phones and are analyzing Sana’s chats with her husband and Sofi Khan. In addition, the body has been sent for a postmortem and further investigation has been launched.
