Tadepalli: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has assured party workers that “Jagananna 2.0” will be stronger and more resilient, focusing on protecting every cadre member. Addressing YSRCP corporators and key leaders from Vijayawada Municipal Corporation on Wednesday, he accused the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP)-led coalition of harassing YSRCP workers and vowed to stand by them.
Jagan Mohan Reddy recalled his own struggles, stating, “I faced 16 months of unjust imprisonment due to political conspiracies, but I never backed down. With the people’s trust, we will return to power and govern for the next 30 years.” He highlighted his government’s implementation of 99% of manifesto promises despite financial constraints and criticized the current administration for failing to fulfill its electoral commitments.
Accusing the government of neglecting education and healthcare, he lamented the reversal of reforms in government schools and the collapse of Aarogyasri benefits. He praised 38 loyal corporators in Vijayawada who resisted pressure to defect. Concluding his speech, Jagan Mohan Reddy asserted that YSRCP would return to power with a resounding majority, as the people had lost trust in Chandrababu Naidu’s administration.
