On the 13th of October, Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra took the oath as the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) High Court (HC.)
The swearing in ceremony was held at 2:00 P.M., at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Tadepalli, A.P. Mr. Biswabhusan Harichandan, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, administered the oath of the office to Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra.
Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Cabinet ministers and judges of the State High Court, attended the oath taking ceremony. High Court officials, State Government officials and other officials also participated in the swearing in ceremony of Mr. Prashant Kumar Mishra.
Recently, Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India, reshuffled chief justices of 8 Indian states, including Andhra Pradesh. The appointment of Mr. Prashant Kumar Mishra was also made by the President of India.
Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra replaced the outgoing Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court Justice Arup Kumar Goswami. With this, Justice Prashant Kumar also became the third Chief Justice of the A.P., High Court.
