Hyderabad: Former minister and Key Kapu leader Kothapalli Subba Rayudu on Monday joined Jana Sena party. Party chief Pawan Kalyan welcomed Subbarayudu into the party. His entry added strength in West Godavari district mainly Narasapuram assembly segment.
Subba Rayudu said that he is not expecting any seat and wishes to work along with fishermen community leader Bommidi Nayakar who is strongly working in the constituency anticipating ticket.
Subba Rayudu was elected as MLA from Telugu Desam Party in four consecutive elections from 1989 to 2004. He worked as energy minister at Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet and later shifted to Prajarajyam in 2009. After losing two consecutive elections Subba Rayudu joined TDP back in 2014 and worked as Kapu corporation chairman.
He joined YSRCP during 2019 elections and left the party with a difference of opinion with local MLA Prasada Raju.
Subba Rayudu has a strong cadre at Narasapuram and is known as a non controversial leader.
