Kesineni Srinivas, a Member of Parliament (MP) candidate of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) from the Vijayawada constituency, said, the people’s issues in the district will be his manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections.
On the 3rd of April, in an exclusive interview, Mr. Kesineni spoke about his agenda and manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Kesineni said, he does not want any manifesto or agenda, instead, the problems of the citizens will be his agenda and manifesto. He expressed his confidence about the TDP winning the elections by stating, “The TDP would win 130 seats and 21 MP seats in the State.”
Mr. Kesineni also praised N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP) and the President of the TDP, for his contribution towards the State. He said, Naidu launched several schemes and development projects during the last five years, for the benefit of the citizens of AP.
Kesineni also assured the people about the future development of the State, if the TDP, which is also the ruling Party of AP, comes to power again.
Mr. Kesineni said, “Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu implemented welfare schemes irrespective of caste, religion, region and without any kind of discrimination. The welfare schemes would reflect on the elections.”
Kesineni also highlighted the development projects worth Rs. 4,000 crores, which were launched by the TDP Government during the last five years.
When asked about his campaign’s progress, Kesineni said, he spends most of the time interacting with people of the area. In addition, he said, he also holds meetings with the TDP workers to discuss the agendas and the progress of the campaign.
Kesineni Srinivas expressed his happiness about how the Party is getting the support and blessings of the State’s youth and women.
Kesineni is confident about his victory by securing approximately 2 lakhs majority votes in Vijayawada. He said, the people of the Constituency will vote for the one who is connected with them since five years, instead of someone who is campaigning for votes since barely a month.
Apart from the TDP, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and the JanaSena Party are also conducting campaigns, ahead of the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats, scheduled to be held on the 11th of April.
The major parties contesting the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are the JanaSena Party, the TDP and the YSRCP.
The results of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
