
Visakhapatnam: Nara Lokesh, the Minister for IT and Electronics, reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling all the promises made during his Yuva Galam pada yatra. Speaking to the media, Lokesh emphasized that the promises made to various sections of people during the yatra would be realized, with the government working diligently to meet the expectations of the public.
Lokesh addressed the defamation case he filed against a daily newspaper, which published false allegations about him in 2019. He clarified that the legal battle was funded personally, highlighting his resolve to see the case through to its conclusion. The IT Minister further discussed the significance of the pada yatra, stating that it allowed him to connect with the people and gain first-hand knowledge of their issues.
He also spoke on the investments brought to the state, highlighting that the TDP-led NDA Government secured over Rs 6.33 lakh crore in investments, providing employment to over 4 lakh people. In contrast, Lokesh criticized the YSRCP leadership’s failure to attract such investments.
Lokesh promised five lakh jobs in Visakhapatnam alone over the next five years and confirmed that the state is committed to not privatizing the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. He also reiterated his support for the development of IT infrastructure, including the launch of TCS in the region.
