Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party, on the 30th of August, spoke about the ongoing issue related to the Andhra Pradesh capital and criticised the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)

Pawan Kalyan said he will bring the Amaravati issue to the notice of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, if necessary.

Expressing his concern about the people of 14 different castes who gave their land in Amaravati for the construction of the City, Mr. Kalyan criticised the YSRCP for its proposal to shift the capital of AP.

Mr. Kalyan, on the 30th of August, visited the villages in Amaravati and listened to the issues of the local farmers and agricultural and construction workers, who will suffer the most due to the change.

He also met the residents of Kuragallu and Inavolu who were against the proposal of shifting the capital to Prakasam district.

Mr. Kalyan also made it clear that he will oppose the State Government if they take the land of people in other districts forcefully, for development.

Kalyan said the JanaSena Party will not be a mute audience if the YSRCP relocates the capital and will fight for the protection of the interests of farmers.

Pawan Kalyan further added if the YSRCP is concerned about illegal construction and corruption, then the Party should have launched an investigation, instead of relocating the capital.

Pawan Kalyan said, “The JanaSena is not against decentralised development. But the government wants to make a decision as per the wishes of YSRCP only but it will not be accepted.”

The YSRCP Government recently announced changing the capital of AP and shifting it to 4 different districts, where the State Government will restart the development projects.

However, an official announcement regarding the State capital is yet to be made.

Stay tuned for further updates.
