Mangalagiri: Tension prevailed at Mangalagiri with sudden searches conducted by police at the apartments occupied by bouncers and support staff of Jana Sena party. A group of police inspected the rooms and collected the details of employees working at Jana Sena party.
Jana Sena political affairs committee (PAC) chairman Nadendla Manohar condemned the sudden inspections and termed them as harassment. Manohar demanded the police to give an explanation about the reason behind conducting inspections late at night.
Manohar alleged that ruling YSRCP is creating panic and unrest among the opposition parties using the police forces. He sought the support of democratic forces in the state in facing the high handed police raids.
Manohar announced that Jana Sena, Telugu Desam and BJP will take the issue seriously and announce an action plan to address such acts of police.
Telugu Desam AP president K Achennaidu condemned the police searches at Jana Sena employees quarters.
