Rahul Gandhi Criticises GoI Over India-China Clash, Demands Answers From PM Modi And Defence Minister

Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC) on the 18th of June, criticises the Central Government on the China-India issue.

Mr. Gandhi asked for a few answers like why Indian soldiers unarmed to martyrdom. 

How dare China killed Indian soldiers in Ladakh. 

Rahul Gandhi, asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to speak in this China-India clash.

Mr. Gandhi took to Twitter and shared an interview of a retired army officer who worked in Galwan valley in Ladakh. 

Mr. Gandhi said, “If it was so painful:  Why insult Indian Army by not naming China in your tweet? Why take 2 days to condole?  Why address rallies as soldiers were being martyred.”

On the 17th of June, Rahul Gandhi said, “How dare China kill our UNARMED soldiers? Why were our soldiers sent UNARMED to martyrdom.”

In the India-China clash on the night of the 15th of June, 20 Indian Army soldiers lost their lives. 

The incident happened after the China Government claimed Indian army to trespass China border illegally.

The Chinese Government also claimed Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh to be a part of China territory.

The clash in Galwan Valley on the night of the 15th of June is the biggest confrontation between China and India after their 1975.

Mohammad Ishfaq, the Deputy Commissioner of Gurdaspur, met family of Indian Army’s Naib Subedar Satnam Singh who lost his life fighting back the Chinese troops.  He said, “A gate will be constructed on his name here.”

Mamata Bannerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, announced a compensation of Rs. 5 lakhs to the family of Sepoy Rajesh Orang, who lost his life during India-China clash on the 15th of June. 

On the other hand, Indian Army sources confirmed a high level Major General talks regarding the India-China stand off issue. 

The meeting regarding the same started at 10:30 A.M., on the 18th of June.
