
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that financial relief for flood victims will be credited to their accounts on September 25. During a review meeting held on Saturday, the Chief Minister discussed the relief measures and status of the enumeration process with officials.
The government has finalized relief packages based on the extent of damage faced by the flood-affected residents. Households on the first floor of flood-hit buildings will receive Rs 25,000, while those residing on the second floor and above will receive Rs 10,000. Additionally, businesses impacted by the floods will be provided financial assistance.
Chief Minister Naidu emphasized that every flood victim must receive compensation. He instructed officials to ensure that no one is left out of the relief process. Special attention was given to those whose homes, crops, and vehicles were destroyed. The Chief Minister confirmed that the relief amount would be directly credited to the bank accounts of the affected.
Of the 10,000 vehicles damaged in the floods, 6,000 insurance claims have been settled. Naidu directed officials to expedite the settlement of the remaining insurance cases, ensuring swift recovery for all victims.
