Maanapalle: For the fourth consecutive day, revenue department officials and police are conducting parallel investigations into the burning of revenue documents at the Madanapalle sub collector’s office in Annamayya district. Under the special attention of CM Chandrababu Naidu, authorities are intensively probing the incident. Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department, Sisodia, conducted a review meeting with three district collectors, revenue officers, and tehsildars from Annamayya, Tirupati, and Chittoor districts.

Sisodia inquired about the safety of records related to dotted lands, 22A lands, reservoir lands, and assignment lands. Discussions included land conversions over the past three years, with warnings issued to officials in Tirupati district regarding improper land conversions. A district-wise review of land registrations and conversions was conducted to ensure future incidents like the one in Madanapalle do not occur.

Later, Sisodia received complaints from victims at the Madanapalle sub collector’s office. Many victims, including those affected by former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and other YSRCP leaders, submitted complaints alleging forced land grabs and threats over the past three years. The large turnout of victims highlighted ongoing concerns about land rights and abuses in the region.
