Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) is on a tour of the National Capital, Delhi.

On the 25th of October, Monday, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu reached Delhi and is scheduled to meet Union ministers. The visit is said to be in regard to the recent attacks on the TDP offices in Andhra Pradesh and the targeting of the TDP leaders. According to the TDP National President, the ruling Andhra Pradesh Government, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is targeting TDP leaders and recently conducted attacks and vandalised the TDP offices in the State.

Therefore, in order to seek justice, Mr. Naidu visited Delhi and scheduled meetings with the Union ministers, demanding their intervention in the matter.

Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu said, “The ruling government is responsible for the attack on the opposition party office. This is an utter failure of law and order in the state and the police department is acting as a party cadre. (The) TDP is capable of having their own security if the police is a failure in giving security to the opposition.”

In addition to the intervention of the Government of India (GoI,) in the recent attacks, Mr. Naidu also asked for President’s rule in Andhra Pradesh, through Article 356 of the Constitution of India.
