Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is reelected as the President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.)
On the 25th of October, Monday, the TRS conducted a plenary meeting to appoint the new President of the Pink Party. With the unanimous decision of the TRS members and party cadres, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao became the President for the 10th term. KCR has been leading the TRS as a President since the Party was formed in 2001.
A total of 18 nominations were filed by the TRS leaders who all proposed the name of Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao to be the President. After the unanimous selection, Mr. Srinivas Redry, the Election Officer of the TRS Presidential election, announced the results.
The event was held at the Hitex,. Later, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao addressed the Party meeting, which was organised at the Huzurabad Assembly constituency. A total of 6,000 guests were invited for the grand event today, which also marked the 20 years of the party’s foundation.
In 2001, the Pink Party, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Party, was formed. In 2014, the TRS came into power as the Government of Telangana, an independent state after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana into two seperate Telugu states.
After the re election as the TRS President, the senior leaders and Telangana ministers congratulated Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao. The newly elected President of the TRS, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao also thanked the party leaders for electing him as TRS President.
