Amaravati: TDP supremo and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that the TDP has always prioritized the well-being of the state and nation over power, stating this commitment to senior party leaders during a meeting at the TDP headquarters in Mangalagiri on Friday. Reflecting on the TDP’s long standing role in national politics, Naidu credited the party for playing a critical role during national crises and said it has emerged as a credible force.
During the meeting with TDP MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and party leaders, Naidu provided a strategic roadmap and advised leaders to assess their roles in executing welfare measures introduced over the last 125 days. Highlighting the significance of the TDP’s alliance with the NDA, Naidu urged members to collaborate closely with partners to meet public expectations.
Naidu criticized the previous administration for failing to audit central funds and diverting allocated resources, which, he said, has impacted essential services. He pointed out the misappropriation of Rs 990 crore meant for panchayat development, which led to a further loss of Rs 1,200 crore, a gap the current government is working to address.
Naidu expressed admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dedication, mentioning that Modi’s hard work and disciplined governance have made him a three-term leader. He encouraged TDP leaders to emulate Modi’s approach, emphasizing accountability, particularly in light of the alliance’s pro-Backward Classes (BC) initiatives that have expanded representation within the assembly.
Reinforcing TDP’s progress in governance, Naidu highlighted fulfilled promises such as the annulment of the Land Titling Act, revised pensions, and initiatives for employment through the DSC’s filling of 16,347 teaching positions by December. Naidu also mentioned the government’s new sand and liquor policies, which aim to curb corruption and improve revenue generation.
The Chief Minister called on TDP leaders to build public support by actively promoting the welfare measures implemented by the NDA alliance, emphasizing that this commitment to addressing citizens’ needs would secure the coalition’s success in future elections.
