Machilipatnam: Flex banner war between YSRCP and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) created panic in town on Sunday. Followers of YSRCP constituency incharge Perni Krishna Murthy (Kittu) allegedly attacked one TDP sympathizer Ede Yashwanth.
As per the allegations made by the TDP leaders, followers of Kittu initially argued with Yashwant. They alleged that Yashwant removed the banners of YSRCP. They attacked Yashwant and boarded him into a car and roamed across the town.
Yashwant alleged that he was attacked several times by YSRCP leaders in the car. Later they left Yashwant at police station
Former minister and TDP candidate Kollu Ravindra, Jana Sena leader Bandi Rama Krishna rushed to the spot. They extended support to Yashwant and sought immediate action against Perni Kittu and his followers.
YSRCP is planning intense attacks on the TDP activists during the election, Kollu Ravindra said. YSRCP maintained silence over the incident. Police registered a case.
