Mangalagiri: Komati Jayaram, the coordinator of TDP’s NRI department, has defended his right as an NRI to campaign for his party of choice in Digital, Amaravati. Addressing allegations of violating the election code, Jayaram emphasized his respect for and adherence to Indian laws.

The controversy arose after Vaikapa leaders accused Jayaram of making inappropriate remarks during a meeting with TDP NRI unit leaders at the party’s office in Mangalagiri. CEO MK Meena issued a notice to Jayaram based on a complaint by Vaikapa leader ASS Murthy.

However, Jayaram clarified that the meeting with NRIs was not clandestine, and his intent was simply to encourage fellow expatriates to support the TDP. He reiterated his commitment to abide by the rules and denied making derogatory comments about government advisers or attempting to influence voters through bribery.

Jayaram urged the CEO to investigate the complaint thoroughly and halt any further action, asserting his long-standing dedication to the TDP without any violation of regulations.
