Hyderabad: The Telangana state government is gearing up to launch the Rythu Bharosa scheme from Sankranti, aimed at providing investment assistance to farmers. Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao held a review meeting on Saturday to discuss the initiative’s implementation and ensure its success.
The meeting focused on utilizing remote sensing data to identify cultivated areas accurately. Discussions were also held with representatives from companies specializing in estimating agricultural lands. “Our goal is to ensure investment support for cultivated lands,” said the minister.
To achieve this, the government is working closely with agriculture department officials to register farmers’ names and compile cultivation data. “Satellite data will enhance accuracy in implementing the scheme. We will collect detailed information at the village level, including survey numbers, to ensure no farmer is left out,” Nageswara Rao added.
The scheme is set to provide much-needed financial support to farmers, boosting agricultural productivity and ensuring timely investments. The government’s innovative use of technology reflects its commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector in Telangana.
