Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy wished that Telugu people should play a decisive role in national politics. He said that leaders should work in that direction.
Revanth launched a book ‘Governorpet to Governor’s house’ written by retired IPS officer and Tamil Nadu state former governor PS Rama Mohana Rao here on Sunday. Revanth opined that the impact of Telugu people on national politics reduced significantly.
Leaders like Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, PV Narasimha Rao and NT Rama Rao played a key role at national level. Venkiah Naidu, Jaipal Reddy and others continued the spirit and left their mark at national politics, Revanth said.
But the spirit of Telugu leadership is missing at national politics and we are searching for a people at Delhi who can showcase the local issues at national level, Revanth added.
He wished that people of two Telugu states’ work leave a great impact at the center. “We may be divided as states. But we should work collectively to achieve long pending demands and funds,” Revanth Reddy added.
