Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister, is scheduled to visit Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, on the 28th of October, Friday.  Notably, Ms. Sitharaman is in Andhra Pradesh for a two days visit, the 27th of October and the 28th of October.

In view of the arrival of the Union Minister in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, the Kakinada Administration officials, made elaborate arrangements including security.   Mr. Ilakkiya, the district in charge Collector of Kakinada, along with Kakinada Member of Parliament Mr. Vanga Geetha and Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Mr. Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy held a meeting and reviewed the arrangements.  

Notably, Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman would address a public meeting, organised at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada (JNTU-K) on Friday.  She would also inaugurate the temporary Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) at JNTU-K.  The new IIFT campus would be spread over 3,000 sq ft in a modern G plus two buildings with all the facilities. The prestigious institute would also get a permanent campus soon as the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) led Andhra Pradesh Government has allotted 25 acres of land. In addition, in the coming few months, the newly inaugurated IIFT would also start management and business courses for the students.  Furthermore, for the inauguration, the Central Government has granted a huge amount of Rs. 230 crores, which would also be the third branch of the IIFT, after Delhi and Kolkata.

After the scheduled events and inauguration ceremony, Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman would leave for Rajahmundry Airport, Andhra Pradesh and would return to Delhi on Friday evening.
