Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC) resumed Bharat Jodo Yatra in Telangana, on the 27th of October.

The yatra, launched by Mr. Rahul Gandhi aims to promote harmony and brotherhood in India. The foot march would also raise the issues of rising consumer prices and unemployment under the leadership of Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India.  The yatra which recently covered Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, respectively and now entered Telangana.

It is to be noted, The INC delegation started their yatra from the Narayanpet region of the Telugu State.  However, the Bharat Jodo Yatra was halted amid Diwali celebrations.  After the break of three days, Mr. Rahul Gandhi resumed his padayatra in Telangana from Narayanpet.   

With this, the Bharat Jodo Yatra entered day two in Telangana on Thursday.  The INC delegation started the yatra from 6:30 A.M., on the outskirts of Maktal.  Today’s padayatra would continue till evening, covering 26 kms.  Furthermore, Mr. Rahul Gandhi would have a meeting with the farmers of Telangana at 2:30 P.M., 

In between yatra, Mr. Rahul Gandhi would also visit Kanyakaparameshwari Temple, covering Pedda Cheruvu Tankbund and Dandu Cross Roads.  After lunch, the INC leader Mr. Rahul Gandhi would reach Gudigandla village via Jaclar cross road and address farmers.

Meanwhile, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has made huge arrangements for Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s padayatra. 

After covering 26 km of walk in Telangana, Mr. Rahul Gandhi would stay at Elangandla tonight, and would resume padayatra from the region, the next morning.

Notably,  in Telangana, the INC delegation led by Mr. Rahul Gandhi would cover 19 assembly constituencies and seven Parliamentary constituencies for a distance of 375 km, before entering Maharashtra on the 7th of November.
