Union HRD Announces No Examination For Class X Nationwide

On the 5th of May, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced to not conduct board exams for Class X acorss India.

The Announcement came after the Union Human Resource Development (HRD) took to Twitter and announced the same.

Ramesh Pokhriyal, the HRD Minister of India, announced, “Attention class X students! No examination to be held for class X students nationwide, except for students from North-East Delhi. An adequate time of 10 days will be given to all students for the preparation of exams.”

However, the students from the North East Delhi do not have relaxations from the exams, as they have to appear for the exam.  Mr. Pokhriyal said, “An adequate time of 10 days will be given to all students for the preparation of exams.”

The CBSE and 10th boards exams were postponed due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus in India.

Meanwhile, India reported a total of 46,884 cases of the Novel Coronavirus with a total of 1,575 fatalities till the 5th of May.
