In Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam, a Rythu Bazar was inaugurated on the 4th of November, Friday.
Ms. G. Hari Venkata Kumari, the Mayor of Visakhapatnam, laid the foundation stone for a Rythu Bazar, providing quality vegetables at a low cost for locals. The Rythu Bazaar would be set up in the Arilova region of the town. The Rythu Bazar would be built on vacant land allotted for the purpose next to Arilova District Praja Parishad High School.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government led Marketing Department would fund the construction, said to be worth Rs. 80 lakh. Speaking on the occasion, the Visakhapatnam Mayor Ms. G. Hari Venkata Kumari said the foundation stone for the construction of 60 shops was laid to provide quality and fresh vegetables directly to the consumers from farmers. She further said, “People of the Arilova region are going long distances to get vegetables and the facility would be convenient to the locals and neighbouring people.”
The Rythu Bazar in Arilova was said to be a decade old demand of its citizens, which finally has been fulfilled under the leadership of Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
The Agriculture Market Committee chairman Baygani Sunny Krishna and the assistant director of the Marketing Department Mr. Sheikh Yasin, among others, were present.
