Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 22nd of July, organised a dinner at the Vijayawada Gateway Hotel for E.S.L. Narasimhan, the Governor of AP.
Y.S. Jagan, along with the members of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) organised the dinner as the 23rd of July is the last day of Mr. Narasimhan as the Governor of the State.
On the 24th of July, Biswa Bhushan Harichandan will be sworn in as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
Recently, Biswa Bhushan Harichandan was appointed as the new Governor of AP, following which, E.S.L. Narasimhan was left with the position of Governor of only one Telugu state, Telangana.
Previously, Narasimhan was the Governor of both the Telugu states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Jagan Mohan Reddy, his wife Y.S. Bharati and several top dignitaries of the Party and other officials attended the event.
During the dinner, Narsimhan recalled his journey as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh and said he was very affiliated with the State and completed his education in Vijayawada in 1951.
Narasimhan further said he was very happy to be the Governor of both the Telugu states for nine and a half years.
Y.S. Jagan also shared emotional words for Narasimhan and said he always had a special affiliation with Narasimhan and considered him as a father.
Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan presented a statue of Venkateswara Swamy on behalf of the State Government. Jagan Mohan Reddy then wished E.S.L. Narasimhan a good life ahead.
