Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) extended gratitude to Vijay Rupani, the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
Mr. Reddy took to Twitter and said, “I thank @CMOGuj @vijayrupanibjp & his team for helping us bring back the stranded fishermen home. I highly appreciate & look forward to such cooperation.”
The Gujarat Government sent approximately 4,000 Telugu fishermen who were stranded in Gujarat due to the lockdown.
Seventeen buses carried all the fishermen following social distancing norms, which arrived today in Andhra Pradesh.
The State medical staff screened all the fishermen for the COVID-19 infection and sent them for 14 days quarantine, as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh reported a total of 1,463 cases of the Novel Coronavirus. Out of the total, 1,027 are active cases, 403 recovered and 33 deceased till date.
