Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) felicitated the Badminton Champion P.V. Sindhu.
On the 6th of August, the Bronze Medal winner at the Tokyo Olympic 2020 P.V. Sindhu met the A.P., CM. During the meeting at the Chief Minister Chamber of the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat. She was felicitated with a shawl and cash prize of Rs. 30 lakhs.
Recently, after P.V. Sindhu won a Bronze Medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government announced the cash prize for the athlete.
The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) official Twitter handle took to Twitter and posted pictures of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy felicitating the Indian shuttler.
The tweets read, “Hon’ble CM Shri @ysjagan felicitated #Olympics bronze medallist @Pvsindhu1 at CM Chamber, Secretariat and congratulated her on her recent performance. P.V. Sindhu thanked the CM for his continuing support and blessings. ½.”

Another tweet posted by the CMO was regarding the Badminton Academy in Visakhapatnam. The tweet read, “The CM has urged PV Sindhu to start the proposed Badminton academy in Vizag soon and nurture more youngsters like her. Officials handed over a cash reward of Rs. 30 lakhs to PV Sindhu on behalf of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. 2/2.”

In order to improve talent in the State, the YSRCP Government had allotted two acres of land for Sindhu to set up a badminton academy at Visakhapatnam. With this allotted land, the Indian shuttler would begin her badminton academy in Andhra Pradesh.
On the 6th of August, the Indian Shuttler P.V. Sindhu came back to A.P. After her arrival, she visited the famous Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada with her parents and offered prayers today morning.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) ministers Avanti Srinivas, Sharmana Krishnadas and Vijayawada Collector J. Nivas welcomed P.V. Sindhu and greeted her with a grand welcome.
