Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) on the 15th of May, launched the Y.S.R., Rythu Bharosa- PM’ Kisan Scheme, at the Tadepalli camp office in A.P.
The scheme was launched as an undertaking of the Andhra Pradesh Government to benefit the farmers of the State.
Under the Y.S.R., Rythu Bharosa scheme the beneficiaries would get Rs. 13,500 per year for agriculture purposes.
The scheme would benefit 49 lakh farmers in all the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
The money would be given to farmers in three installments of Rs 7,500, Rs. 4,000 in October and Rs. 2,000 in February, 2021.
On the 15th of May, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the scheme through a video conference at the Tadepalli camp office.
Under the scheme, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) paid Rs. 5,500, as the first installment to farmers directly into their bank accounts. According to the installment division, the farmers were supposed to get Rs. 7.500 as the first installment. However, since the YSRCP Government already deposited an amount of Rs. 2,000 in the month of April, they deposited the remaining 5,500 of the total 7,500 today, the 15th of May.
The State Government allocated an amount of Rs. 2,800 crores, for today’s payment. Whereas, for the implementation of the Rythu Bharosa Scheme in 2019-2020, the YSRCP Government announced Rs. 6,534 crores.
The Andhra Pradesh Government also announced a toll free number-1902 for farmers in case of any doubt.
Meanwhile, the Novel Coronavirus cases rose to 2,307 in the State till the 15th of May.
