Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) held a review meeting to discuss the preparation of the third wave of the Wuhan virus.
On the 28th of July, the A.P., CM conducted a review meeting and directed the officials to be prepared. The meeting was organised in the wake of the alarming third wave, which started in many countries abroad.
In addition, the Andhra Pradesh CM also reviewed the ongoing vaccination drive in the State. He asked the officials to stock up on oxygen concentrators at Primary Health Centres and other facilities. He also asked the officials to create a special wing for the maintenance of the medical hospitals so that complications would not arise at the time of emergencies.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) also decided to set up oxygen generation plants at all 100 bed private hospitals. It is to be noted, the State Government is providing 30% subsidy in setting up of oxygen generation plants and giving relaxation in power tariff to the hospital authorities.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also emphasised on the new Delta variant and its dangerous impact, asking doctors and medical teams to ensure arrangements for that too.
He ended the meeting suggesting recruitment of new staff for the medical department, if needed.
Meanwhile, so far, Andhra Pradesh has 19,59,942 positive cases, of which 20,999 are active cases, 19,25,631 are recovered/discharged cases and 13,312 are deceased cases.
