Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is all set to visit Bapatla and distribute android tabs to students of state run schools.
According to sources, on the 21st of December, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would visit Yadlapalli and would start the distribution of electronic tablets to over 5 lakh students under a programme. The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) announced the programme in order to enhance the education system for students in the State. As of now, the welfare programme has been introduced in Andhra Pradesh’s Yadapalli region and would extend to other regions of the State.
Speaking about the schedule, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would leave from Tadepalli at 10:00 A.M., and reach the Yadlapalli Zilla Parishad High School at 11:00 A.M. As of now, students of class VIII would be getting free android tabs. As many as 4,59,564 students and 59,176 teachers of the 8th standard in government and aided schools would get private online education players. In addition, the android tabs would have educational material provided by e platform study, Byjus’, with which the YSRCP Government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU.)
Furthermore, in order to distribute 5,18,740 Samsung Tabs, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Government has released an amount of Rs. 687 crores.
Notably, after the distribution of the e tabs to students, the programme would be extended to other regions and the distribution would be continued for the next one week. In the duration of one week, the Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to provide tabs to 32 lakh students of Class IV to X, worth Rs. 4,960 crores.
Besides this, the YSRCP Government is also planning to enhance the education system in Andhra Pradesh and proposed to introduce English medium for primary classes. Although the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is opposing the English Medium proposal, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Government is determined to soon introduce English Medium education in the state run schools.
