On the 30th of September, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) will visit the Tirumala Venkateswara temple and present silk garments to Lord Venkateswara.

The visit is planned on the occasion of Brahmotsavam, an annual celebration at the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala, Tirupati of Chittoor district, AP.  The visit and presenting of silk garments is a customary ritual of the Y.S.R. family.

Jagan Mohan Reddy is following the footsteps of his father, late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the former Chief Minister of AP.

After presenting the silk garments, Mr. Reddy will offer prayers to Swami Venkateswara.  He is expected to present silk garments at 7:00 P.M., on the 30th of September.

On the 29th of September, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board started the Brahmotsavam celebrations in Tirupati.  Brahmotsavam is an annual festival celebrated at the Tirumala temple for the deity Lord Venkateswara.  The celebration continues for 9 days.

Mr. Jagan will leave Tadepalli, Andhra Pradesh at 1:30 P.M., and will reach Tirupati around 3:00 P.M.  During his visit, he will inaugurate several projects in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to inaugurate the Mathrushree Vakuladevi guest house, worth Rs. 42.86 crores and constructed in Tirumala.  He will also inaugurate Padmavathi Nilayam in Tiruchanoor, following which, he will go to Alipiri and lay the foundation stone for a four lane highway to Cherlopalli, Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Jagan is expected to return to Tadepalli on the 1st of October.
