Vijayawada: APCC Chief YS Sharmila Reddy has voiced strong criticism regarding Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s frequent trips to Delhi. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Sharmila questioned the necessity of these visits, especially given Naidu’s prominent role in the NDA coalition.
“Why is Naidu constantly running to Delhi? Why is he greeting the top leadership and making requests?” Sharmila asked. She expressed frustration over the lack of statements from Prime Minister Modi or other ministers on promises made during the formation of the coalition government at both the central and state levels.
Highlighting key issues, Sharmila remarked, “After visiting Delhi four times since the victory, has there been any statement on the state’s interests? Has Naidu communicated the need to halt the privatization of Visakhapatnam steel? Has he clarified the funding for the Polavaram project or the center’s assistance for the capital’s construction?”
Sharmila also pointed out the BJP’s alleged indifference to Andhra Pradesh’s concerns, saying, “This is the theory of BJP. They will once again betray the people of AP. Babu should open his eyes and realize that BJP is playing with the sentiments of the people.”
